I’m Kate Sole, the IT/Project Management programmes manager and I attended the Investors in People Practitioner Summit 2015 in London on Monday. The weather in Guernsey was warmer than in London! It was a well-attended event by practitioners from all regions across the IiP network.
The event started with practitioners sharing their experience of working with the new aspects of IiP’s latest version of the standard framework in pilot schemes. This was followed by key presentations from a selection of the Investors in People Senior Management Team and other leading experts in the field. The afternoon offered the opportunity to attend workshops on the development of the additional Investors in People awards to the standard, which will be the Health & Wellbeing and Measurement & Metrics awards. We were given the opportunity to give feedback on the direction these awards will take in preparation for their launch.
It’s really exciting to see the how the framework is shaping up with High Performance Organisations as its key focus.
The highlight of the event for me was a presentation by Dame Carol Black, the Department of Health’s Expert Advisor on improving the welfare of working people, who was excellent. For me it was great to get a rare chance to network with all my UK and International counterparts.
