Post/Job Title: Part Time Programmes Manager
Location: GTA University Centre, St Peter Port House
Normal hours per week: 25 (Monday to Friday 08:30 – 1:30pm) Some flexibility will be required in order to ensure that key time scales and deadlines are met
Accountable to: Head of Programmes
Job Purpose:
To develop business and initiate, promote, document, and oversee the delivery of the GTA’s programmes. To deputise for other Programmes Managers as appropriate and to ensure that the GTA’s reputation for the quality of its products is maintained and enhanced.
Qualifications and Experience:
In order to exercise the full range of responsibilities associated with the role of Programmes Manager, it is desirable that the post holder should:
Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise their own workload and work competently and accurately under high workloads and pressure.
Be an innovator, capable of initiating and promoting new training courses.Have a working knowledge of professional institutions and/or training providers.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, tact and decorum.
A working knowledge or experience of the finance industry would be an advantage.
Main Responsibilities:
To research, identify and initiate opportunities for training programmes which meet the needs of the economy of the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
To develop, build and maintain relationships with the local business community, professional organisations, and individuals to identify their current and future training and development needs.
To ensure the promotion of programmes and oversee the production of promotional materials.
To maintain accurate and up to date records of all enquiries, enrolments and requests for information.
To oversee the administration and costings of named programmes ensuring that tutor and client needs are met and that a high level of quality is maintained.
To deputise and support other Programmes Managers and the GTA team as required.
To participate in the operational management of the GTA through participation in GTA staff meetings and other ad-hoc working groups as required.
To proactively participate in relevant committees to ensure that the interests of the GTA are represented and expressed.
To undertake and take ownership of your own personal development and training as appropriate.
Have the ability to work, communicate and participate in team activities as well as the ability to work alone and unsupervised.
To become an ambassador of the GTA values, to ensure that work undertaken reflects belief and importance in those values.
Any other responsibilities that may be required from time to time by the Head of Programmes and the Chief Executive.
