Reviewing financial statements is a vital skill for anyone working in trust and company administration.
This course is designed to build confidence and capability in understanding and reviewing financial statements in a trust and corporate services context.

The course will demystify trust and company financial statements, helping delegates to understand their structure, purpose and key accounting principles.
Through practical exercises and real-world examples, delegates will build the confidence to review financial statements, spot inconsistencies and communicate findings effectively.
Course Content
During the course, delegates will explore:
- What Financial Statements are, who uses them and what they’re designed to achieve
- Legal requirements in regard to financial statements for trusts and companies administered by Corporate Service Providers in Guernsey
- The role of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and how they shape financial statement content
- Key Accounting Principles and Theoretical Concepts and how to apply them effectively in delegates’ day-to-day roles
- Practical, hands-on techniques for reviewing trust and company financial statements commercially
- A group review exercise to consolidate learning through real-world application

As well as running numerous training courses, Vicky is a management consultant and has worked with numerous businesses on multiple projects, giving her a unique knowledge and experience to enrich her training. Vicky's generalist financial services experience also includes 10 plus years of auditing and accounting with a big four firm /regional firm and holding senior roles in both the Fund and Trust sector.
