Following on from the success of 2021’s CPD Session “Who wants to be an MLRO?” we have added this follow-on session for 2022 to allow the debate to continue. Delegates will explore the further changes to Supervised Roles introduced in November 2021, amongst other insights. Delegates will also understand how the supervised roles fit into modern financial services businesses and also be given an overview of what could go wrong if the roles are not given the consideration they are due; hearing about current cases and the Guernsey regulatory approach.
This session will cover the following topics:
- The evolution of Supervised Roles in Guernsey
- Current statutory requirements for financial service businesses
- The competing pressures on Supervised Roles
- the regulator’s approach
- Protections available
The changing nature of financial crime has led to the evolution of those monitoring financial crime within financial service businesses and the development of the Supervised Roles.
Delegates will understand how these roles have evolved, statutory requirements for financial service businesses and how Supervised Roles are becoming increasingly important figures.
The course will also examine the local regulatory approach.
