The role of the Office Administrator is vital in any organisation and can vary from organisation to organisation, however the fundamentals skills that are required to be an effective administrator are largely the same.
This course will give you a good basis of skills, tools and techniques to further your experience and career.

- What is the role and responsibility of the administrator and what impact does the role have within the team and organisation?
- How does the role of the administrator relate to other areas of the business and what is its impact?
- Effective time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail – the impact of mistakes and management of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective business communication - what is good and bad written communication, grammar, spelling and punctuation. You will also look at your writing tone and style for different forms of written communication.
- Dealing with difficult people - how to maintain assertiveness and confidence
- The importance of good telephone etiquette - the good and the bad!
- Relevant legislation – the impact on the role of the administrator
- Diary management – how to maintain and control an efficient diary and the challenges that can occur.
