The past decade has seen the science of high performance begin to demystify and unravel the secrets behind “flow states”. These states of high performance allow for increased concentration, clarity and creativity.
Whilst previously it was supposed that these states were fleeting and difficult to create, modern research now outlines exactly how you can begin to harness flow states in your own life, making you much more effective and engaged, whilst feeling more enjoyment, purpose and alignment.
Over a whole day this course will cover some of the early research, will look at the science of “flow” and will allow participants to outline their own process towards peak performance outcomes.
This course is meant to be informative but also very experiential. We shall be looking at flow triggers - ways to quickly bring yourself into heightened states - and also consider ways to successfully choose the right triggers for each individual.

In the 1980s researchers began to investigate a very common, but little understood, state of awareness that many people described as being “in the zone”. Mentioned for centuries by philosophers, artists and musicians, these states of high performance shared similarities that made these researchers suspect that there was some mechanism underpinning the whole process.
Over the next 30 years these occurrences have been classified as “flow states” and a whole specific area of research has sprung up around its study. Initially thought to be the preserve of extreme sports people, musicians and artists, we now know this to be incorrect.
Everyone has the capacity to awaken these states in their lives, but, until now, a system has never been outlined for how to work with, and recover from, these peak experiences.
In essence the journey towards living a life full of flow is different for each person, there is no one-size-fits-all process and working out which triggers are likely to work for you is a vital piece of the puzzle.
It is expected that at the end of the day you will be able to take away some tools and techniques that will help you move closer to living a high performance lifestyle, full of meaning, purpose and enjoyment. You will also benefit from improved self-awareness and a scientific understanding of high performance states.
