Course Overview

This aim of this session is to provide an overview of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission's Cyber Security Rules which came into force in February 2021. These new Rules brought the Bailiwick up to date with technical standards developed by international organisations in the regulatory sphere of cyber security. The session will focus on the application of the Rules to local licensees and their boards of directors, and will explore the requirements on firms to ensure that their internal controls and procedures identify, assess and manage cyber security risks as well as the notification requirements where a cyber security even has taken place.
