Course Overview

This course provides a practical guide to implementing a compliant data protection regime within a business and has been updated to provide details of the new Registration & Levy regime, the role of an ODPA Levy Collection Agent and the new guidance around being “registered” in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

This course gives a practical overview of the steps required to implement a compliant data protection regime. The course has been updated to ensure that not only is the 2017 law covered but also the 2021 changes . This course will help businesses ensure that they are and remain compliant with Guernsey’s data protection regime.

Course Tutor

  • Christopher Jehan

    Christopher Jehan is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI, with over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Having spent most of his career at a leading international fund manager, he specialised in a number of areas including operations, project management and international & foreign regulation.

    In 2016 Christopher established a regulatory consultancy operating in both Guernsey and Florida with a global client base. He is a member of various committees including President of the Guernsey Branch of the CISI, the Executive Committee of the Guernsey Investment & Funds Association and the Marketing Development Committee of the Guernsey International Insurance Association.

    He is also a member of various working groups including the AEOI Working Group established by the Guernsey Revenue Service and a number of groups within the Guernsey International Insurance Association.
